Room Wanted in NYC

hi! ^_^

Hi! My name is Bri, I'm 21 from Brooklyn and I'm just looking for a place to call home, even if it's just for a few months :')

I'd prefer to stay in Brooklyn or Mid-Lower Manhattan but overall location is not an issue as long as the rent is within my budget (max $900 a month, preferably including utilities but it's okay if not), and as long as the location is train-accessible (because I HATE the bus 😭.)

I currently work in retail and plan on getting a second job, and I also have a small vending business selling Kandi! I'm friendly and outgoing, absolutely LOVE animals and pets (though I do not have any of my own), and I don't smoke cigarettes or any kind of nicotine. I am however 420 friendly, but only socially and outside! So if smoking is a dealbreaker to you then you have nothing to worry about with me. And if you are a smoker then you are all the more comfortable to me :)

Ambience and making a home a true sanctuary is very important to me, so while I'm not incredibly strict about cleanliness and tidiness, it is something I value! You don't have to be perfect, just mindful. I like to light candles and incense but if it's preferred then I can keep that in my room. I own a record player so I also like to play music! Not blaringly loud for the whole block to hear of course, but it's just nice to have tunes wafting through the house every now and then.

And speaking of things wafting through the house, as far as cooking lol I do not do so often at all, BUT I really really would like to (and need to) learn. I doubt I'll have much time for it, but I will do my best to make time. So take that as you will! I may or may not be in the kitchen a lot (more than likely not), but the one thing I do love to be in the kitchen for is Breakfast. Even if it's the afternoon lol I love to make breakfast / brunch platters, I find it really peaceful and I also love to make it for others! So with me as your roommate you might wake up sometimes to a little breakfast platter set aside for you haha.

I'm a social butterfly so I do like to go out and make memories and experiences! If you are also friendly and outgoing then I am more than happy to welcome you along on my adventures and do fun things with you! Given this and the fact that I can be a workaholic, I'm more likely to be out of the house than in, unless I'm in dire need of recharge time - that's when I enter hermit mode and keep to myself, enjoying the peace of my own company and solitude. It's all about balance! I also really love having the company of people I feel close with, so I would like to occasionally have people over. All of my friends are kind, mindful, and respectful people who reflect my own values so we would never be overly loud, messy, or overstep boundaries. And I would do my best to always ask in advance if it's okay for me to have anyone over.

Overall I'm a really open person who likes to get along with people and values comfort, communication, kindness, and respect. I'm emphatic and understanding so if there's ever anything that you need or something wrong, it's always okay to just talk to me.

If you think we'd get along I'd be really excited to get to know you and hopefully turn these NYC shoeboxes into a nice home lol. All love <3
