ISO room in Astoria — Budget is ~1250/mo. Sept 1st

Hi everyone! I'm currently searching for a room in Astoria, ideally in the area around Ditmars Blvd and the NW stop, but not limited to this location. I currently live in the area next to the NW Ditmars stop.

The situation: I am currently subletting a room in the area, but my sublease ends on August 31st, leading me to put feelers out for housing to start September 1st. I'm looking for any and all pointers to a place within my budget: ~$1250/mo for a room. I can stretch this number if necessary, but I really would prefer not to. I have excellent credit and can provide proof of income, which is at least 40x my budget amount.

About me: I'm a recent uni graduate coming from upstate NY and I currently work in-person on a regular 9am-5pm basis in Kew Gardens for the city administration.

I have no plans to bring any pets with me, but I have grown up with animals all my life and am great with them. I personally do not smoke. I am quiet, fairly introverted, and mostly keep to my room when I'm at home to watch TV shows or play single-player video games (with headphones on of course). Most of the time, I am usually out of the house — either at work or exploring the city on foot with my friends.

I value open communication. I would like to get to know my roommates, but I totally understand that everyone's expectations for an apartment-share situation are different, so no pressure to become besties — I'm easygoing and mostly just want a place where communication is easy and things feel comfortable. I have lived in shared housing all of my collegiate life and living with roommates is nothing out of the ordinary for me!
