Relocating from France + one cat

Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Claire, I'm 29 and I'll be moving from France to the DC area in early August for work — I'm a physics and chemistry teacher at the French high school Rochambeau in Bethesda.
I'm fairly introverted but friendly and easy to live with. I value a calm, clean and respectful home environment above all. My hobbies include hiking, watching movies, traveling, and I have a real passion for interior design and home renovation — I actually own my own place in France, so I know how to take care of a shared space.
I'll be bringing my cat Okina, an 8-year-old Scottish Fold. She is very well-behaved — no scratching furniture, never misses her litter box, calm and quiet by nature. She's a little shy at first but genuinely very gentle once she feels at home.
What I'm looking for: a peaceful, tidy household where people are considerate of each other's space and schedule. I'm not looking for a party house — more of a come-home-and-decompress kind of vibe. That said, I'm totally up for the occasional wine night or movie night with housemates! 🍷
