Hi! My name is Chelsey, and I'm currently exploring the possibility of relocating to the Philadelphia area for a new career opportunity. I've recently advanced to the next round of interviews for a position at the University of Pennsylvania. While I haven't received a job offer and understand that the outcome is uncertain, I wanted to begin researching housing options and connecting with potential roommates in case everything works out!

A little about me—I earned my bachelor's degree in Public Affairs from The Ohio State University and was pursuing my master's degree online before taking a leave of absence to secure stable employment. My professional background includes government, education, research, and administrative work, and I'm hoping to establish a long-term career in higher education.

I'm also a published science fiction author and am currently working on my second novel! Outside of my professional and creative interests, I enjoy working out, reading, staying active, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

As a roommate, I'm friendly, respectful, clean, responsible, and fairly quiet at home. I enjoy socializing and getting to know new people, but I also appreciate personal space and a peaceful living environment. Most of my free time is spent writing, reading, exercising, or working on personal and professional goals.

I would also be bringing my sweet tabby rescue cat, Duchess (nickname Monkey). She's litter-box trained and wears soft gel nail caps to help prevent scratching furniture.

Ideally, I'd love to find a roommate who shares a similar lifestyle. I'll have my own vehicle, so I'm open to Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs within a reasonable commuting distance of the university.

For now, I'm simply exploring my options while completing the interview process, and I completely understand that my timeline may not align with everyone's housing needs. I understand that the hiring process in higher education can take some time, even if a position is offered, so my potential relocation timeline is still uncertain. I'll be happy to provide updates as I learn more about the opportunity.
