Looking for place to rent (Semi-temporarily)

I am looking for a room for rent (or an entire place if available) starting roughly May-13th and extending around 6-10mo mark. Current location has become inhabitable due to landlord neglect so am looking to move (semi-temporarily). I was able to break my lease due to the ongoing issues, which officially ends on the 13th so something available around then would be perfect. I am a children nutrition specialist at CHKD Norfolk for some time now. I do not drive currently due to a leg issue but will soon so a parking spot is t really needed now, I can store my vehicle safely elsewhere. So in general I’m looking for a moderately sized room, preferably with its own bath relatively close to CHKD (I Uber so doesn’t have to be right next door) and that’s about it. I am also willing to pay higher than the posted max if the room is adequate size or close to work as well as willing to pay fairly for a 1-2bd without roomates.
