31f with a dog and 2 cats 🐾

I am 31, newly divorced and looking to find new housing arrangements in the next month or 2.

I’d like to keep the monthly rent as low as possible. I’ve seen some ads under $300, and would love to find something around this price, but I’m willing to go up to $500 for shared spaces or higher if I find an entire place to rent. It all depends on availability, value, and what makes the most sense.

I have a dog and 2 cats 🐾 all of whom are friendly with others and I keep after them well, so there should be no issues with cleanliness or behavioral issues. I’d love to find a place with a fenced in yard or a nearby dog park where my dog can run off her energy.

I’m leaning towards female-only housing, but I’m okay living in mixed gender spaces as long as all agree to respect boundaries.

A bit about me:
I currently work as a preschool teacher and teach English online.

I lived in Spain for 2 years after college and I love traveling ✈️ My Spanish is a little rusty, but still pretty good. One of my cats is even from the streets of Spain 🇪🇸

I’m very outspoken about my beliefs and am a big fan of human rights and social justice. I also love good conversations and can get along with just about anyone, as long as someone’s humanity isn’t a debate.

My parents are LGBTQ so while I do not have a preference on the identities of those I share a space with, I would decidedly not like to share a space with anyone that would make my parents feel unwelcome.

I’m an open book and would love to chat if there is someone with a space to share or looking for a roommate.
