In Search of a Room in or near D.C.

Hi! I am searching for short term summer housing in Washington, D. C. or anywhere nearby it - I do not want to have a 40min-1hr commute to the city if I am being honest. I will be there from the end of May until the second week of August, or so.

I am simply looking for a safe clean place to sleep in and where my basic necessities are met (i. e., in-unit washer & dryer, restroom, refrigerator, furnished room, kitchen, etc.).

I would also appreciate a place that is near the metro and where public transportation is available. It is ok if I have to walk less than 15min to the station.

If the place has other roommates, I would appreciate they be respectful, organized, clean and are considerate of night time hours as I need to get my 8hrs of sleep.
