Friendly UCR grad student looking for roommates!

Hi! I’m a 27 year old grad student at UCR looking for a room for a September move, since that’s when my current lease is up. I’m starting early because I want to find a place that feels like a genuinely good fit, not just rush into something last minute!

I’m friendly, down to earth, & pretty social. I’d love to be friends with my roommate(s), or at least have a warm & easy dynamic. I’m always down for things like movie nights, game nights, shared dinners, or just hanging out if that’s the vibe. I’m not looking for a drugs or raging party house, but I do enjoy hosting & having guests over, so I like a home that feels welcoming & comfortable.

A little about me: I’m into anime, gaming, film, baking, podcasts, science, trivia, scary movies, tea, & deep conversations. I’m also gluten free, so that’s part of my day to day life.

I like a shared space that feels clean, comfortable, & generally kept up. I’m not super rigid, & I can definitely be a little unorganized sometimes, but that mostly stays in my own room. I’m totally fine with a normal lived in home, just not a filthy or chaotic one that requires hours of damage control before having people over. I do best with people who clean up after themselves, communicate directly, & respect each other’s space & belongings.

I’m looking for a single or large room with a budget up to $1350 a month. My ideal setup includes a private bathroom, internet, in unit laundry, a dishwasher, & central AC. Central AC is a must for me. I’m open to an apartment that’s at least a 2x2, but I’m also open to a larger apartment, house, townhouse, or condo. I’m not locked into one specific setup. Closer to UCR is definitely a plus!

I’m a non smoker, & I’d strongly prefer to live with non smokers too. Vape pens are fine, & weed is fine if it stays outside. I’m a PhD student, so I can’t be showing up to lab smelling like weed. I’m also a pretty heavy sleeper, so I’m generally not bothered by normal household noise. Pets are fine (I love animals!!!), & I’m open to living with women or men as long as the vibe feels respectful & comfortable. I’m mainly looking in Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, & nearby parts of Riverside County.

Overall, I’m looking for a friendly, low drama place that feels good to come home to long term. Definitely serious about finding the right fit!
