Looking for long-term housing! Flexible start date

Hi all!

I’m a 27M cook and soon-to-be grad student who is looking for a room or other new housing situation! I currently have a lease at a place in Bed-Stuy that goes through November, but I’d like to break it sooner.

I want to pay around $900-$1100, maybe would go up to $1300ish for the right situation. Preferably unfurnished and would love to contribute to decorating shared spaces (I have a lot of furniture), but not a dealbreaker. Laundry in-building is a huge plus. Room must have windows!

I work dayshifts at a cafe; my classes will be in-person in Manhattan in the evenings.

I’m a very clean and respectful roommate. It’s very important to me that everyone cares for our living space! Socializing is cool but it’s fine if we’re just roommates, too. I like having friends over for dinner or games every so often, and my girlfriend sleeps over maybe once a week or less.

I have a 3 y. o. male tuxedo cat named Calvino. He’s a veryyyy sweet and sort of shy cat, never had any problems with him. He grew up socialized with other cats and I think he misses playing with them—it would be a plus if you had one, too!

LGBTQ+ friendly, would happily live with great people of any gender, no preference at all! I don’t smoke and would rather it not be done in the apartment, but have no problem with it otherwise.
