I have been living in New York for the past five years, and it has become my favorite city. I recently completed my PhD at Union Theological Seminary, affiliated with Columbia University, and I will be continuing there for my postdoctoral work while also teaching. I am currently looking for a place near Columbia, preferably with a private bathroom, or somewhere easily accessible via the 1 train.
I would describe myself as an ambivert—I value my personal space and solitude, but I also genuinely enjoy meaningful conversations, building friendships, and being in community. I love cooking, and much of my academic and personal interest centers on spirituality, particularly exploring how religion can be liberative and life-giving rather than oppressive or destructive. I am also clean, organized, and respectful of shared spaces, and I appreciate a tidy and peaceful living environment. I’m a bit obsessed with dogs—although I don’t have one myself, all the photos here are of my friends’ dogs.
