I am an environmental scientist, interdisciplinary artist, educator, and storyteller looking to sublet/rent a studio, room, or live/work arts space in NYC by May. While am not particular to location, lower Manhattan or Brooklyn would be ideal. My budget is preferably no more than ~$1350/mo.
I'm fond of unique spaces and happy to co-live, preferably with other creators or scientists (someone who may not mind projects growing on the counter!); I am quiet, introverted, and enjoy a tidy space. With a background in ecology, I love growing plants, creating ecosystems/terrariums, and love organisms of all kinds. Often I work remotely, and I travel periodically for performances/work/residencies.
My work encompasses sound art, storytelling, bio-based visual arts, and performance, and I use intersections of art, science, and technology to connect people to the ecosystems around us. If this feels aligned, please reach out!
Thanks,
Willow.
