29M relocating from London in May
Hi, I’m Dan.
I’m 29 and relocating from London to New York in May. I work in tech as a product manager and will be based in Manhattan, so I’m ideally looking for somewhere within about a 30-minute walk of Times Square. Perhaps Hells Kitchen or Chelsea?
I love apartments with character - high ceilings, lots of natural light, big windows and good views. Industrial lofts or penthouse-style places are particularly my thing. I’m happy to invest in a great apartment if the place and people are right. Budget is flexible depending on the place but roughly $3k–$5k for my share.
I’m very tidy and organised and appreciate living with people who are the same (or willing to make an effort to be haha) - a home that’s well kept but relaxed.
I grew up in the UK and went to school there before spending most of my twenties between London and other international cities, so New York feels like a natural next step.
Personality-wise I’m very chilled and easy to live with. I get on best with people who are kind, fun-loving, open-minded and ambitious but don’t take themselves too seriously. I’d much rather live in a social house than alone - somewhere people enjoy going out, hosting friends and making the most of the city. A lively place is totally fine with me.
Outside of work I’m into the gym, building mobile apps, good food, design and architecture, exploring neighbourhoods and meeting interesting people.
Open to either joining an existing apartment or teaming up to find a great place.
