I played by the rules, paid my rent and didn't cause any trouble for nearly four years and, without any heads-up, my landlord went and sold the house to an investment group that wont be renewing leases. I really need a room like yesterday, so no BS please.
I am a 58 year old, disabled male. I have Emphysema/COPD (its like Asthma times a thousand). I stick to myself for the most part - not that I'm unsociable, its more that a lot of talking can be bad for my breathing. My income is currently SSI (plus I get a bit of SNAP) but I have been paying rent of $600/mo for the past 4 years and could go a little higher without much complaint, as long as the room is on the ground floor :-).
