New graduate moving to DC with cat

Hi! My name is Lyra and I am moving to DC from the Midwest this fall (flexibly sometime in August). I just graduated college studying PoliSci on a pre-law track, and am taking a few years to work in DC before going to Law School. I am looking to room with someone cat and queer-friendly :) I love to bake and cook and watch bad tv/movies and would love to be able to share these with my roommate(s)!
I can be a bit messy with my clothes but keep all my mess contained to my room, and am very good at keeping up with chores/shared space cleanliness. I am a big believer in direct communication and will speak up if something is bothering be and expect my roommate to do the same. I like hosting/having company over but would definitely talk/come to an agreement with my roommate about frequency/other boundaries.
I would expect separate bedrooms but do not mind sharing a bathroom. I would ideally like to live a <20min walk from a metro stop. I love organizing things and would love to make a chore chart/budget spreadsheet to split responsibilities and costs. I can bring most shared furniture (including a couch and tv) from my last place!
