British UN intern looking for a place to call home

Hello, I'm Lizzie. I'm 27, from the UK 🇬🇧 and am about to move to the US to work as a Diplomatic Trainee for an organisation that works at the United Nations (full-time, in-office) 🇺🇳

I'm looking for a room in a friendly shared apartment for a year until the end of Feb 2027.

A bit about me: I love hanging out with friends exploring new places in the city, going to the theatre/cinema and cooking/baking. I am an avid reader, musician, and also enjoy doing pilates. I am hoping to find a local church and a choir to join soon. I enjoy being social, whether that's having friends for dinner, going hiking or meeting up for coffee. I am LGBTQ+ friendly. Whilst I like the occasional night out, I generally keep a regular sleep schedule and appreciate quiet hours between 11pm - 7am.

I don't smoke/drink and won't be bringing any pets, but love animals and would be happy to live in an apartment with any you may have. I like to keep things clean and tidy and create a place of peace and calm to come home to each day.

I have lived in shared houses/apartments for nearly a decade and made many friends along the way and hope to do the same in NYC 😊
