Quiet, Respectful Honors Student - Private Bath+

Hi, my name is Tish. I’m 54 years young, a full-time Honors college student, and a quiet, respectful, reliable person looking for a peaceful place to call home. I would prefer renting with a safe female roommate or homeowner if possible.

Preferred areas: San Francisco (Ingleside preferred), Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, and Piedmont/Claremont.

My budget is approximately $1,200–$1,400 depending on location, parking, and overall fit. My main priority is having my own private space with a private bathroom, off-street parking, and laundry available in the home or on the premises. I do best in quieter settings and would prefer an upstairs room with no one living above me, or a private in-law/guest unit or room with a separate entrance. I am also able to bring my own furniture, as I will be furnishing the space myself.

I live a mostly quiet, study-focused lifestyle. I do not smoke, drink, or use drugs, and I am very sensitive to cigarette or marijuana smoke. I prefer a home without dogs (a cat is fine).

A nonprofit student housing support program will assist with my move-in costs and will cover the first month’s rent, and my nonprofit manager and I will request that the security deposit be applied to the second month’s rent, meaning my regular rent payments would begin starting in the third month. I currently receive monthly Pell Grant financial aid, providing dependable ongoing income for rent once my regular payments begin.
