Heyhey, I'm Maria, 24, Austrian, and moving to NYC for an internship from April till the end of August. So far I've had great experiences with shared flats and my housemates always ended up becoming close friends. That's why I'm now also looking to find such a flatshare in NYC - to not only have a place to stay but a place where I can feel at home. So instead of just co-existing with my housemates, I love being able to have random conversations over a glass of wine, do Sunday morning bakery strolls or potluck dinners together.
A little bit about me: I love going to museums, random events and arthouse movies, Salsa dancing (I wanna try west coast swing once I'm in ny), playing tennis, exploring cute cafés and people watching, long park walks, baking, talking about life, love, social inequalities and whatever else is on my mind. But in my opinion that's exactly what is cool about having housemates - they'll expose you to new hobbies and events and songs and push you to try new things :)
My budget is around $1300/month and I'm quite open area-wise, ideally somewhere in LES, UWS, UES, WV or somewhere in downtown Brooklyn.
