24F Looking for a roommate in KS side of the Metro

Hi! My name is Emily L, I am a 24 y/o F looking for a room in the Kansas side of the KC Metro. I am working full-time as a security officer in the Armourdale area, and have been doing security for a total of four years now. My plan currently is to continue working while attending EMT school, which I'll start fall 2026!

I've been mostly living alone for the last few years and have had two short-term (think months) roommates, although not simultaneously. My current lease ends at the end of April so I am looking for a room for May 1st at the earliest.

In my free time I enjoy playing video games (Switch, PC / Steam), reading, and crocheting. I also do digital art on the side occasionally.

I have been sober from alcohol since November 2025 but don't mind if you're someone who drinks. I am also *** friendly and smoke it myself although I plan on quitting (or atleast cutting back) by the time I start EMT school in the fall.

I do have three cats: Pasta, Vander, and Margaret. The three of them are bonded, especially Pasta and Vander (they're literally boyfriends tbh).

Margaret is best described as being her own cat, mostly just watching you (lovingly) from the shadows. She's shy but will still come say hello to you before remembering that she's shy.

Pasta is the youngest of the three (~3-4 yrs old now) and it definitely shows. He's the most adventurous but also the first to run away whenever something happens.

Vander is a senior but has the energy of a much younger cat, often playing with Pasta when he isn't chasing Margaret. He used to be a stray up until my (now) ex-fiancé found him a few years ago.

All three cats are fixed. They have all lived with dogs of all sizes before. Vander is probably the most shy when it comes to dogs but he mostly just kept his distance. Pasta spent the first year or so of his life at my friend's (who had a basset hound / golden retriever mix) when my first apartment flooded and would playfully wrestle with said dog.
