Relocating to NYC for CCNY — looking for roommates

Hi, I’m Donnie, 26. I’m a remote software developer and incoming civil engineering student at CCNY, so I expect to be on campus most weekdays and working or studying from home some of the time.

At home, I’m generally quiet, tidy, and considerate. I keep normal weekday hours, do my part to keep shared spaces clean, and appreciate roommates who communicate directly and respectfully. I tend to mesh best with people who are open-minded, socially aware, and respectful of different backgrounds and identities. I’m fine with guests, as long as it’s not a constant revolving door or someone unofficially moving in.

Outside of work and school, I like going to the gym, reading, volunteering, and cooking. I’m vegetarian, but totally fine living with non-vegetarians.

I have a small older cat, Kemuri. She’s 11, spayed, up to date on shots, and mostly keeps to herself, though she’s cuddly once she warms up. She has lived with other cats and dogs before.

My timeline is late July or early August, ideally with a few weeks to settle in before the semester starts. I’m looking for a room that’s $1,400 or less before utilities.
