Quiet, Reliable Tenant for Bright Calm Space

ABOUT ME:

I’m an established, male NYC professional seeking a short-term to long-term rental (depending on fit ) in a calm, well-maintained home/apartment. I lived in my current apartment (with roommates) for many years and only moving because the owner is selling. Available to move November 1st. Landlord says he would have kept me forever as his tenant if he weren’t selling the space.

I have stable income as a charter High School teacher in Brooklyn and excellent references. My schedule of school work keeps me pretty busy (I often leave around 6am and I am not usually back at the apartment until around 8pm). There is a lot of work to do at this school!

I have a history of keeping my living space clean, comfortable, organized, and peaceful. My financial security not only comes through my job of working at a charter school and, in the past, the Department of Education, I also cushion my income with a combination of luxury event management, directing and teaching during the summer, and the performing arts, working consistently with established companies and institutions.

In terms of my living dynamics, I’m bright, tidy, and maintain a mutually considerate living environment. I value stellar communication; I tend to stay longer when a residence is a good fit, but am happy to move on if after a couple of months we think it’s ideal. I do not invite guests, not a smoker, and not a partier. Just a calm teacher looking for a quiet place while I save to eventually move into a space of my own.

I’m a respectful neighbor, honor shared spaces in buildings/homes, and I am happy to provide strong landlord references, income documentation, and a brief tenant bio. My current landlord often describes me as having “made the space better” while living in it over the years.

• Private or low-traffic entry (small building, townhouse, walk-up ideal)
• Easy walk (10–12 min or less) to subway, grocery, and gym (active distance runner here)
• Month-to-month or yearly lease with flexibility to stay long-term if it works for both of us
• Perk: Possible close proximity to large neighborhood parks

Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, East Williamsburg, Astoria, Greenpoint, Park Slope, UWS/UWS walk-ups, LIC (older buildings)

Looking for a landlord that appreciates tenants who take care of their living environment and maintain a dependable routine. Ideally, you’re someone who understands the relief of having a tenant who pays promptly, honors the property, and creates a harmonious household. I’m easy to work with, organized in my day-to-day schedule, and communicate clearly and reasonably when something genuinely requires attention. I look to find a renter who prioritizes the overall quality and character of their tenants; someone approachable and professional, in a mutually beneficial dynamic.
