Looking for a room in or close to Havertown

I am a responsible professional single male, clean living, (no smoking, drinking, recreational drugs, wild parties etc.) looking for a room or cheap studio in close proximity to Havertown and transport links. Need a place with a kitchen, where I can cook for myself and store my own food since immune system condition prevents me eating out. I have had to sell my 3 bedroom home of 16 years to comply with my divorce settlement. Don't let that put you off - I'm not a broken hearted depressed emotional mess that you won't want to be around - The break up was in 2010 and I was divorced since 2011, just permitted to remain in my family home until the youngest child turned 18. I plan on going to live in Europe in the spring of 2026, I am waiting on visa and medical paperwork for this and so don't have a definite date yet. For this reason I don't want to sign fixed contracts or commit to long term leases. I want to rent a room while in between being a homeowner and leaving for Europe.
I like company, I am pretty easy going, I don't do drugs or have overnight guests. And would refer a house where I get some socialization with others although this is not a dealbreaker! If a studio or self contained place is available within my budget I would certainly consider it.
Like most people I like watching TV, usually British soaps, and French documentaries, I am not much of a fan of Netflix or subscription streaming so I could appear out of touch with current entertainment culture, just to forewarn you!
I like walks and exploring the city, I hope to be somewhere that I can get into Philadelphia easily by transport since my home has been more than an hour out by transport all this time I didn't get to know Philadelphia as much as I'd like!
This is one of my aims before going to Europe.
I have a closing date for the end of January and am looking to move into my room around January 18th.
