Old-Soul Creative Educator Seeking Peaceful, Respe

Hi, I’m Zell (35, Black woman), moving from Kansas City to the San Diego area for grad school and a long-term substitute teaching position. I run a tutoring service for students and parents, and I’ve spent 16+ years in fine dining, so I’m used to working hard, staying organized, and respecting people’s space. I’m an old soul who loves quiet, nature walks, surfing lessons in my future, quilting, jewelry making, and journaling.
Home is my sacred, peaceful space—I’m friendly and community-minded, but I recharge in silence and keep things clean and calm. I’m gluten- and dairy-free, cook a lot of flavorful food (think curries, peppers, onions), and I’m very mindful about shared areas. I’m open to a background check and prefer to do one as well; I’m looking for a safe, grounded environment with responsible, kind roommates who value respect, honesty, and a chill home.
