Room wanted somewhat nearish to Fort Lauderdale

I'm a busy guy that moved to the Fort Lauderdale region recently.
I moved in to a room in Lauderhill with a 19 year old college student. That was a bit young for a roommate, but it's not so big a deal, and besides the apartment was very clean and in a well-positioned area. The living room was completely empty and there was very little possessions in the kitchen & bathroom, but It's a 19 year old who's only lived here a month so it made sense to me.
To make a long story short, I woke up a couple days ago to find the entire apartment stripped of everything. When I tried to contact her to find out what was going on, there was, and still is, no answer. I got scammed. So I'm not going to be able to live here much longer.

I'm a chef up in Deerfield beach, and I would be out of the house pretty much all day everyday. I mainly just need a place to sleep/shower. I have one chill cat. He's a really good guy and I have an obligation to take care of him for reasons that are too lengthy to put in this ad. If I were a cold person I wouldnt allow him to make my room-search more difficult, but I can't screw him over. He would stay in my room and would not make a mess. Im hygienic and that extends to my pet ownership.
