I am going to be a social worker/psychotherapist at Montefiore in the Bronx and I want to live in Harlem, reasonably walkable/bike-able to the 125th St Metro North.
I grew up on Long Island and lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn before moving to Baltimore for years, and I've just moved back to the city after getting my MSW. I was a lawyer for a long time and am starting over in a new career. I owned my house in Baltimore but am currently looking for a share to explore neighborhoods and save money.
I am white, straight, cis-male, and progressive-minded. I live a diverse life and have lived with and been close friends with all kinds. I'm 50 years old, but young at heart, and my life experience makes me a considerate, responsible roommate.
When I'm not working I'm into art, film, salsa dancing, house music, and going to the gym. At home I listen to music (with headphones as necessary), meditate, read, and watch movies. I eat healthy at home and use the kitchen, but I'm not master chef.
My job will be full time on site for at least six months, and I prefer working in person. But eventually some of my work as a therapist may be remote and so I may have work from home days in the future.
