63 yo on SS seeks room in Pahrump

I'm 63, on social security, looking for a studio or room in Pahrump.

Just me. No kids. I'm very quiet and have few/no visitors, and no pets (pet friendly tho, and I love cats). Moderate outdoor-only cig smoker, light drinker. I'm quiet and clean and respectful and borderline reclusive because I have my own writing projects and thing(s) online. I have a valid driver license and clean driving record, but no car.

I moved to Pahrump from Vegas mid-June 2025 and I like this quiet libertarian-ish valley. But I'm currently on mo-to-mo in a very run-down place where the property mgr recently rented to a severe meth addict (who's also on the sex offender lists) because the mgr thinks he can give this guy a "second chance". It's working out as you'd predict.

I can probably get you a reference from him as well as from the property mgr in Vegas from 2025.

Two caveats.
1) I'm a transwoman, but not the entitled nightmare kind you see on rage-bait social media.
2) My budget is 500/mo, maybe 550, and I can contribute $100/mo to groceries.
