Looking for a Small Cozy room to Rent

I'm a British-born, US citizen looking to rent a small room that's accessible to public transportation while I get back into New York life.

A room with a desk would be ideal (but not required) as I work from home. I'm in the corporate training/production industry, working as a freelance training coordinator/producer as well as copy editor for several companies.

I'm very clean (I love doing housework, finding it relaxing), quiet and easy-going. I'm also respectful of your privacy and space. I'm punctual with rent/bills. I'm building up my good credit score to a great one as I hope to save enough to buy a home next year.

I travel for work about two or three times a year and spend at least six weeks with my family in the UK during the summer.

Would love to be considered as a roommate and will provide references from friends and a former roommate, as well as verification of income and credit score.
