Looking for room in Van Mall - Minnehaha March 1st

Hello! I am moving to the Portland/Vancouver as early as March 1st 2026, and would love to have a living space lined up before I get there. I should mention that I don't know the area well at all, I have friends in the Vancouver Mall and Minnehaha areas of Vancouver, and it'd be nice to be near them. I have been renting a room for the last year in Las Vegas, NV, I found the room here on spare room. I have references from this situation.

I am a very open minded, friendly and accepting person. I tend towards living a more creative vs professional life, politically left but I don't talk politics ad nauseum, I have tattoos, I am spiritual but not religious, I'd rather not live around cigarette smoke or heavy drinking. I've lived in different areas of New Mexico (my home state), California and in Florida for a brief time. Life is leading me up the the PNW, I have some good friends there and Vegas has served its purpose.

I have great credit and always pay rent a few days early. I'm responsible and clean and independent. I've owned homes so I understand the importance of keeping a home nice and maintained. I leave places cleaner than they were when I arrived. I am educated with degrees that I have never used to build a career because I was striving to be a working drummer for many years while raising my sons. I have left that behind and sold all my drum equipment, my life now fits in my car which was a goal of mine. So I won't be showing up with a Uhaul, just my car and no furniture, which is why furnished is ideal.

I own my own online retail business so I don't work outside the home. I tend to be somewhat of a hermit in my space, working on my businesses, exercising on my quiet rebounder and listening to music. I like to cook my own food rather than eat out, and I do eat meat, I'm actually fully carnivore. I cook two meals a day and am in the kitchen just 10 minutes for each meal.

My ideal roommate/roommates would be open minded as I am, friendly and laid back, and accepting that I'm not a super social person and prefer to keep to myself, though this doesn't mean that I'm standoffish. Essentially I'm an introvert and I like my own company. I'm open to living with females and males as long as I feel safe.
