Looking for a Room to Rent + Off-Street Parking

Hi! I’m a 47-year-old working mom looking for a comfortable room to rent, preferably with off-street parking, closer to Mount Vernon so I can be nearer to my 12-year-old daughter, who lives with her dad.

I work a lot, so during the week I’m usually pretty quiet and keep to myself. Since many of my friends live far away, I also spend time socializing with them online. When I’m not exhausted from work, though, I’m definitely a social butterfly and enjoy good conversation and being around people.

I have two children, a 12-year-old daughter and a 27-year-old son, neither of whom lives with me. I would love for them to be able to occasionally visit me. However, I completely understand if having visitors isn't something you're comfortable with in your home. That's absolutely not a dealbreaker for me—I can easily spend time with my kids at their homes instead.

I’m a homeowner myself, but I currently choose to rent my home to my ex-husband. Because of that, I understand and genuinely respect what it means to have someone else living in your home. I’m respectful of other people's space, belongings, privacy, rules, and boundaries. I clean up after myself and believe communication is key when sharing a home.

I’m looking for a relaxed, respectful living situation where everyone can feel comfortable in their own space while still being friendly with each other.

Looking for:

- A private room
- Off-street parking
- Mount Vernon or surrounding area
- A respectful and communicative household
- Occasional visits from my kids would be great, but are not required
