Seeking room in Greater Boston area

Hi! My name is Alec (he/him/his). I’m 34 and I’m looking for a dog-friendly place to live for September 1st (or possibly sometime September-October). I grew up in the Boston area and I’m currently living in Brighton, but I’m open to various places within the Greater Boston area (ideally Allston/Brighton, Brookline, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, or Watertown, and maybe Newton or Cambridge). I’m looking for a medium to large room, preferably in the range of $900-$1100/month. Kitchen space is important to me, as well as having in-unit or at least in-building laundry. I care less about having reserved parking, as well as the number of roommates and number of bathrooms.

For some information about me – I graduated from Harvard in 2014. I work as an animal care assistant in the inpatient department of a veterinary hospital in Boston. I am looking to move specifically because I'd like to get a dog and my current landlord won't allow dogs. I consider myself a respectful and generally quiet roommate who keeps his space clean. I love to cook! In my free time, I enjoy hiking, other outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, and classic movies.
