Prefer 6+ month MIN 3 Months
Fullsize bathtub and Functional kitchen are Must Haves
(I cook AND I bathe!)
Queen Bed (preferred)
Laundry in apt (or bldg) a major plus.
And I won't complain if you have a piano!

Ideal bedroom has a Queen bed with enough space to relax and not feel cramped.

Temperature control and air flow make NYC apt life livable so as many of these as possible: A/C, Ceiling Fan and windows that open (hopefully to something!) Especially when you have old radiators that blast heat!)

Truth is, a lower budget allows me the freedom to visit my remaining elderly parent in TX more often.

Partial to Manhattan because of the walkability and easy access to current obligations
However, open to explore anything under 30 min ride to Midtown
Close proximity to Transit is important. As are walkability and neighborhood services. This is NYC- I want to live in it!

Returned to NYC after being in Texas for family health situations. Goal is to eventually find a long term place. Still exploring the option to buy.
Or get serious about leaving US if things don't shift directions (kidding. not.)
This search has taken much longer because it took a back seat to deaths in family and most recently a fractured patella. (I'm in month 4 of a 6 month journey)

My current living situation went from 3 months with extension thru next year to ending abrubtly at 3 months due to roommate's GF moving in. Such is life.
So here I am scrambling to find a place when I have travel plans to Texas the first of September and now a move out thrown into the equation. I'd love to find a place that will allow me to get settled back into a NY rhythm.
Better yet, find something more long term so I can really move life forward. That said, I am also very flexible.

In my former NY life I was union set decorator for film & TV
Still an active member of IATSE Local 52 and will be easing back into work as soon as my knee allows me to. Meanwhile my days are filled with PT and alternative healing appointments as well as ongoing side projects side projects
