Room wanted in Washington D.C.

A bit about my situation. I recently started a new position that has me in DC frequently enough that I'd like to have a furnished place to leave my "DC" clothes and simplify my back and forth travel. I don't need anything fancy, and will rarely, if ever, be around over weekends.

I will not have a car, so my ideal location is well-situated walking distance to metro transit to access the Hill and near my office on K and 14th streets. I will live very light but will use the kitchen to prepare meals while in town.

I live full-time in Colorado with my husband, and we own homes in Grand Junction, Colorado and Summit County near five ski resorts. I am open to a variety of situations that very in length from a month to month, or eventually a longer-term 12 month lease starting in the late Fall. If you are a skier, and want to swap a room situation for ski accommodations, that's a possibility.

It would usually be just me, but my ideal situation would allow my husband (who normally doesn't accompany me) to join me for a weekend if I had to be in town for more than 2-3 weeks straight.

If you got this far, my immediate need is for 1 or 2 months of lodging for Remainder of April thru early June. I will be ready for a longer-term situation in September or October.
