Bicyclist-Professional seeks housing for 3-6 mnths

I am seeking housing intentionally in Oakland OR Berkeley no later than 1 August. I would like to keep my burn rate down on my finances, and seek $850-$950/mo rent. IF utilities are included that would be splendid.

Month-to-month to start would be my preference to discern if this will be mutually beneficial. And, If it ends up being mutually agreeable, I am open to a longer term arrangement.

I would prefer a location west of Lake Merritt, because motorists tend to be more dialed into sharing the roads with bicyclists on the west and north side. Indeed, I prefer to bicycle to get around versus driving my car, so if you have a place to park two bicycles securely and out of sight, that would be most helpful. During the week, bicycling to the swimming pool in Emeryville is one of my destinations.

I also have a mobile garden in the works which will take about 3' x 15' of space, or some permutation thereof.

I am an engineer. I am also female and middle aged. Most of the time, I 100% telecommute for my work and ongoing research, so hopefully this will bode well with the culture of your household.

To me home is sanctuary. Seeking folks who consider themselves to be egalitarian, fair, and reasonable and are good at clear, honest communication, embrace lo-no drama, and have a private bedroom for a single, professional person. An unfurnished room is my preference.
