Looking for a room in Jersey City or nearby!

Hello! I'm Sam, and I recently graduated from Hunter College in May 2023. Originally from upstate NY in Syracuse, I've decided to stay in the city because I love it here. Here are some updated details about me:

I'm 22 years old and graduated with a BA in history on May 30th. I also hold a culinary degree from the CIA, but my career interests have evolved since then. I'm currently considering law school or grad school, but I want some time to think things over before committing to more student debt.

Although I'm originally from upstate NY, I spent a good portion of my teen years visiting the city during the summer because I have extended family here.

I work in the specialty food industry, where I handle wholesale sales and AP/AR tasks. My job involves split time between my company's office in Jersey City and our retail store in Chelsea, although I'm primarily based in Jersey City now. I earn approximately $50,000 per year. (I can provide an employment verification letter with my salary, signed by my boss, if needed.)

I'm a fairly quiet person and tend to be out and about most of the time. My hobbies include reading niche topics that most people find boring, attending small events like Sofar Sounds concerts, playing some games, and other similar activities.

I'm looking to move into a new place between mid-October and early November. I moved into my current place in Queens in June, and I've been exploring my options since then to try to get a bit closer to work.

I'm open to a month-to-month lease, but ideally, I'm looking for a rental agreement that lasts between 6 months to a year. If we get along well, I'd be happy to extend it even further.

I won't be bringing much with me initially, but I might bring a few items from home during the summer. I'm also happy to share what little I do have, like pots and pans, and some decent speakers, among other things.
