NYC-Teacher seeks room for long or short term

I am looking for a room to rent or an apartment to share. I am 53, very
healthy, friendly and introspective. I am young of body and mind .I am a
people person. I have been living in NYC and Long Island all my life.. I am quiet and very
considerate, looking for the same, but not against roommates that like to
have fun and express themselves.

I am a teacher and spend a lot of time at work or in the gym. I also play lacrosse 2x a week on Long Island. I am not home much and when I am I will usually hang in my room.


I have the means and have always taken my responsibilities seriously and
pay my bills on time. I would like a furnished room, but can easily buy a
bed and the necessary furniture I need for my room. I love all pets. I can keep to myself, but get along with everyone and
would very much appreciate a social situation. I hope to find a place that I
can stay at for a year or two or more. But short term stays are also acceptable.

Most importantly I am looking for a place that is safe, mostly quiet
and has a positive atmosphere.

If you have a room to rent or an apartment to share, please let me know,
or please share this with somebody who does. I will entertain all offers in
Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens. I am especially interested in Long Island City and Astoria/Woodside/Long Island
City areas. But I am open to other areas as well.

Once again, I am responsible, trust-worthy, easy to get along with,
communicative, dependable and amenable.
I can furnish you with references from my previous landlords.
