Animal-loving, nonsmoking writer/biologist

Animal-loving, non-smoking writer and semi-retired biologist. looking for a peaceful place to write and study the local wildlife . Hoping to find mellow, active, like-minded earth-conscious female(s) to share house in peaceful environment with ample access to nature and hiking. A fellow scientist would be a real plus!

I find just about everything interesting, but here are some of my fave things: animals--all kinds, a good joke, books, art, music, quirky creative films, sci-fi, scuba diving, sailing, hiking with my dog, and anything else outdoors, especially with my dog. I get along well with everyone (though I tend to steer clear of the shifty types), enjoy occasional socializing but also value my privacy and alone time.

My golden retriever, Chloe, is my best bud and rarely leaves my side, She's exceptionally well-behaved and just as tidy as I am. She's crazy about swimming and tennis balls. She can balance just about anything on her head, can count to 4, and knows each of her toys by name. She loves humans and little animals (she still misses the tabby she grew up with). She makes me laugh out loud everyday.

My ideal "space" is peaceful, harmonious, with easy access to nature. or parks...trees and greenery--great for mind and soul.
