We currently rent a room in an apartment ...

My name is Gayane (like Diane with a G). Me and my five year old daughter are looking for a room, preferably with our own bathroom. My child is a spunky little kiddo, she is high energy but also very respectful, she knows when to tone down. We used to rent a private side entrance room with private large bathroom and utilities included for $1350 for 4 years but my separated husband came back and made threats so we immediately picked up and moved out in April, we got the first place we could due to urgency, got a 5 year restraining order and filed for divorce, and now we are looking for a more comfortable situation. Our rent is $1,000 which is more affordable for us to en our current situation, but we share a bathroom with 4 other people, so we resorted to a porta potty in our room for emergencies. I receive social services cash aid and food stamps, and have recently applied for disability due to spinal issues and nerve issues in my hands and arms. I've had spinal fusion surgery and now started seeing a neurologist as well. I do outsource my laundry sometimes because of my spinal issues. I do my best to keep things clean in the room, I keep the bathroom very clean where we live, but also consider outsourcing some cleaning in my room, more for the deep clean times due to my severe pain. I work on and off as I am able, making and selling jewelry. We make our jewelry together and go selling together but we mainly work from home and are home most of the time due to my disabilities but I do my best to get her out and about. I am signed up with Haven Hills which is an organization that helps people who have been through domestic abuse, so if you're willing to fill out a W-9 form, then they are likely able to cover some costs like first month rent and deposit, also may potentially cover up to 3 months rent, a check I believe they cut out upfront, depending on their budget availability now. If you're able to do this, it can help us out tremendously, as we are also trying to save to purchase another vehicle as ours is on its last leg. My daughter is not enrolled in school yet so we do what I call "unofficial homeschooling" because she loves to learn. She has a lot of friends at church and especially the two twin girls we used to live with. I'm still very close to my previous landlady and would not have moved if we didn't have this abuse situation happen. I always paid rent on time, and early many times, so my previous landlady can be a reference if needed. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
