French intern for 1 year in New-York

I move to New-York for my internship program on the 28th of June. I will export wine. I'm 28 yo (I'm getting old) and I come from Bordeaux.
I like to chill with friends, take the famous "French ap?ro" and hang-out the weekend. I'm sure New-York is amazing and I want to enjoy it.
My company is based in New-Rochelle, so if I'm close to Harlem 125 street it's nice.
I'm very respectful about personal space and I consider home is a place to rest and relax alone or with friends but no to party every night.
