Looking for someone who prioritizes cleanliness and organization, that is my flavor of neurospicy, I want to make sure our spice levels are complementary! I am a direct communicator, looking for same! I believe our space should have ongoing signs of human life of course, but a clean home brings me comfort and stability.

Lil about me! My name is hard to pronounce if you don’t speak Hebrew so here it is phonetically ☺️ MEE-KHAL. I am a queer (Anti-Zionist 🍉) Jew from New Jersey moved to Chicago August of 2021. I’m neurodivergent and in therapy! I work as an EMT as well as babysitting. Looking to create a chill, inclusive, and welcoming space. I enjoy watching all kinds of sports (F1, figure skating, soccer, basketball etc) I definitely value my alone time but also enjoy hanging with friends. Open to roommate who enjoys hosting small gatherings for friends (Shabbat dinners etc.)

There are two bedrooms of equal size (different amount of closet space): one off the kitchen and one near living room. I’m open to either room upon discussion of schedule and sleep preferences. I would like to co-create household guidelines and a chores chart, that way we can both ensure equitable division of labor (cognitively and physically).

Our apartment is on the ground floor of the house, and the upstairs apartment is occupied by the land lord (leaves town for the winter), and there are also tenants in garden unit.

A lil more info about our land lord:
No management company thankfully (anyone who has dealt with one before understands!) Land lord is super accommodating: responds quickly to any problem, including things that need to be fixed. We have access to free vegetables from her garden and also have plots for us to grow our own garden. rent increases have been waived this year(potential to go up at next lease signing by 3-6%).

$950 + utilities (estimate $80-$120 for electric, gas and internet. water included in rent)

Apartment has central air and heating! Quarter operated washer dryer in basement, there is also a laundromat on the corner of street. Outdoor storage available under porch exposed to elements. Outside parking spot is available for $50, or inside the garage for $80 additional.

Apartment is semi-furnished, and I am open to discussing bringing in new furniture/purchasing furniture for space. We will likely need to get a couch and tv for the living room, and potentially a dining room set. The kitchen is fully stocked! (The pictures reflect an empty apartment)
