Large private room for rent in a newly constructed home, one block from Ashby BART. All hardwood floors, lots of windows. Your room is about 13 x 14 feet, plus a large closet, and a big window. In the photo of the bedroom, you can see how large it is, because that is a king-sized bed. The room is mostly unfurnished. You would be joining a school counselor and a virtual-working life coach, and an elderly dog. All three of us are mature-aged people/dog, LGBTQIA, one African American, and one Jewish. The dog is friendly to people but can be dog reactive so no other pets, please. The household is non-smoking, early to bed, covid super cautious and boosted, clean and quiet. We are a vegetarian and a vegan, so would like no meat cooked in the house. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. With the current housemate arrangement, you have your own bathroom (but that could change over time). We have fiber optic wifi, so easy to work from home. We keep the house clean and also have a professional house cleaner weekly. The house has central heat, and also a washer/dryer. The room is available on Feb 1st, possibly a little earlier. Rent is month to month, but our ideal housemate will stay for a while. Easy street parking. Lots of great restaurants nearby (Flacos vegan, Fat Fish, Raza cafe, El Tiny Cafe, Easy Creole, Creekwood Italian, Yeti Sports Bar, Kirala, Zing Cafe, Hoi Toi brewery, Lemat Ethiopian, Starry Plough, Nicks Pizza, more!!!). Also within walking distance to the fantastic Berkeley Bowl grocery store. Rent is $1350 and $150 is your offset for fiber optics wifi, professional weekly cleaning, garbage, PGE, water, etc.
