I'm moving to a different city for work and am looking for someone (F) to take over my share of a lease in Normandie Court from October 1 through May 31 with option to renew. The move-in date is somewhat flexible. (We are reposting because the person who planned to move in is being relocated for work.)

*The Location*
Normandie Court is directly next to the 96 Q train, M15 SBS and M96 crosstown, as well as 1.5 blocks from the 6 train. My roommates and I think it's perfect for commuting almost anywhere in the city. Rite Aid is downstairs, Duane Reade and CVS are down the street, and you'll be close to Whole Foods, Fairway, bars, a couple movie theaters, and tons of restaurants and brunch spots. We also go to Trader Joe?s often. 2nd Ave has really stepped up lately, and it's easy to walk to any type of cuisine you could want--or to the river for a ride on the new Soundview Ferry.

The doormen and other building staff are always really friendly and responsive--even for things as small as a fridge water filter. The valet downstairs is convenient for sending out dry cleaning and laundry (wash/dry/fold), and there are two large laundry rooms in the building. There is also a gym/club with terrace on the top floor of the building if you are interested, with reasonable rates.

*The Apartment*
The apartment is a 2 bed + flex with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and medium living room. One of the two bathrooms is in the master, so you will be sharing with only one other person. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a fridge (with ice/water function), gas stove/oven, and dishwasher (top and bottom rack can be run separately). The living room has space to have people over: we have an expandable dining room table with 4 chairs and a large couch.

*The Roommates*
The current two (F, ~30) roommates are great, and I'm leaving only because I have work in a different city. One of the roommates is in health science while the other is in fashion. Only one of the roommates cooks, and she is good about cleaning up afterward. In general we are fairly quiet but we each tend to have one or two people over a couple times a week for dinner/drinks or to stay over.

*The Available Room*
This is a flex room but with full floor-to-ceiling walls and a real door. There's a powerful built-in AC/heating unit under the 3 large windows. The room is really sunny, with great views over the East River and Long Island Sound. It is quite large and currently fits a queen bed, nightstand, desk, floor lamp, side table, large dresser, and a wide armchair. (I am currently planning to take everything with me but can negotiate if you are interested in anything.) There is a tall and wide closet just outside the room.

*Financial Details*
Rent: $1442 per month (first month due Oct. 1)
Move-In: First month's rent, two months' security deposit ($2890), application fee ($500) and credit check ($20) with building management
Please note you must either make 50x rent (annual salary = 50 x monthly rent of the room) or have a guarantor who makes 80x rent for the apartment ($4,548) for the application.

Please email for additional pictures and details, and to see if you'd be a good fit with the current roommates!
