My finance and I just bought a house!
Hi,
My finance and I just bought a house! We've got tons of rooms and we're looking for awesome roommates. We're in our early 30's, working in Aviation (Federal employee) and Education (State employee, CSULB grad).
You'll have to provide work history, a (negotiable)security deposit, and pay for a background check(at cost). We'd prefer it if you linked us to your social media account(s) and told us about yourself on initial contact.
The 1855 sq ft house is located in Wrigley(at Spring and Maine), Long beach, and will be available starting the 15th of March, 2018.
You'll be among the first occupants since the property was remodeled. There are ceiling fans, recessed lighting, central HVAC, quartz counter-tops and stainless steel appliances. It's freshly painted and you'll have full access to the shared kitchen, common areas and in-home laundry.
It's a single family house with 3 entrances(semi-private entrance.. ish) and 3 bathrooms; you'll likely be sharing a bathroom with 1 or 2 other roommates, depending which room(s) you'll be renting. There is also a "master" bedroom available with private bathroom.
Rooms are available from $750 to $1100(negotiable), utilities and wifi included.
I've included the staged pictures of the house and rooms, however, the place will not be furnished upon move-in.
You'll have convenient access to the 405, the 710, the LA river bike route and the metro blue line(nearest stop is less than a mile away, easy access to downtown LBC, the aquarium, DTLA).
There's plenty(seriously) of street parking in the neighborhood and a garage or parking spot (on our long driveway) can be negotiated if you'd like.
It's a short distance to the beach, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Long beach airport, target, CSULB, The pike outlets, The traffic circle, Costco, innout, Los Cerritos Park, Bixby Knolls, cal heights, downtown, the pier, belmont shore, 2nd street, ballast point, shoreline village, the queen mary, the aquarium of the pacific, disneyland etc.
No smoking, drugs or pets (we plan to get a small dog) allowed. We like to drink ;)
Overnight guests are limited to 4 times a month (so that freeloading significant others won't become a burden on other roommates or our utility bill) and rooms are single occupancy. If a couple is interested in renting multiple rooms, we'd be open to that discussion.
This is not a party house. We're interested in organized, clean and responsible roommates.
Questions we ask all potential renters:
- Why are you interested in moving?
- When would you like to move in?
- How long will you live here?
- Have you ever broken a lease?
- How many evictions have been filed upon you?
- What pets do you have?
- How many felonies do you have?
- Do you smoke?
- How many vehicles do you own?
- For what reasons could you not pay rent on time?
- Who is your emergency contact?
- Why should we rent to you?
- Is there any additional information we should know?
