Disclaimer 1: The room faces Cesar Chavez Blvd, which is a busy street. If you’re extremely sensitive to traffic noise or work from home, it may not be ideal. That said, the room is on the second floor and the house is elevated from street level.

Disclaimer 2: The landlady requires a minimum credit score of 650 to rent. I know this may seem silly or unreasonable, but it’s best to be aware of and double check before applying.

About the room: Approximately 16’x12’, has two windows, closet, etc. Rent is $616.67. Deposit is $433.33.

About the house: Early 1900s Craftsman with a spacious living room, second living room/dining area with built in bookshelf and drawers, small backyard, and a front porch. Full bathroom with tub is upstairs. Half bath/laundry room with both washer and dryer is downstairs.

Conveniently located in a nice area of SE Portland. Just blocks from Laurelhurst Park and a Fred Meyer. Steps from the 15 and 75 bus lines. Street parking. No pets per the lease, unfortunately.

About Jacob: Male mid-30s professional, work 8:30-5 mostly from home. I enjoy having a peaceful, harmonious living space as much as possible and am generally pretty quiet. I have lived in this house for approximately six years and have been lucky to have mostly excellent roommates, so I’m hoping to continue that pattern. Please note, I do not drink. I don’t mind if others do, but if you really like to party or drink a lot at home, it might not be a good fit.

About Stephen: Male early 30s currently an Electrician Apprentice who Is working and going to school. My work schedule is from 6:00am to 3:00pm. I have lived in the house for a total of almost 3 years. I am into cooking, baking and riding bikes with friends. I do drink occasionally however mostly on weekends or occasionally after work. I am generally pretty quiet and keep to myself.

Miscellaneous: This is a pretty quiet household overall. We request quiet hours from 11pm - 7am on weekends and 9:30pm to 7:00 am on weekdays to accommodate our work/sleep schedules. Prior approval is needed for overnight guests. We are mature and respectful of one another and our shared space. We rotate cleaning the common areas once per month which means each roommate will clean the common areas once every 3 months.
