Cozy room in Lakeview

I am looking for a female roommate to rent out a spare room in my two bed, one bath condo in Lakeview. The apartment is in a quiet vintage building, flooded with light, and overlooks a landscaped courtyard. The building is less than one block from Lake Michigan with easy access to the lakefront trail, recreation drive, and tennis courts. Jewel is two blocks away. Whole Foods is three blocks away. Storage space for bikes and coin laundry in basement.

Flexible lease is month-to-month. $800 rent includes all utilities and internet. You are welcome to use the Roku TV in the living room. Extra AC window unit available for use in the room. $40 background and credit check required. Employment verification required. $150 refundable move in fee required at lease signing. Room is available starting 6/1.

Unit is fully furnished. Spare room will be furnished with full bed, cabinet, area rug, desk, chair, and lamps. The pull cord on the ceiling fan is broken, which means it is only possible to run the fan if light is on. A large LED lamp in the room will provide plenty of light, and I have a few spare fans lying around if you need one. Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, towels, and bed linens can be provided at an additional cost.

I have a cat who is friendly, but she likes being an only cat. No other pets allowed, but you should be okay with sharing space with the cat.

I'm a female in my 30s. Ideal roommate would also be a female in her twenties or thirties. I work from home 4 days a week and take CTA to my office once per day. I’m fully vaccinated for COVID19. I’m careful with COVID19 precautions and avoid parties, gyms, bars, and large gatherings of people.

Right now life is quiet due the pandemic, but I enjoy reading, Netflix, baking, and biking. I’m also in the process of decorating, but the pandemic put my plans of filling my space with estate sale and thrift store finds on hold. My ideal roommate would be clean, friendly, and respectful.
