Great Apt in the heart of Astoria with a backyard!

This apartment is a large first floor apartment in the heart of Astoria near Steinway St. and 30th Ave. If you are not yet familiar with Astoria, 30th Ave is where there are a ton of really great bars and restaurants and Steinway is where there is a lot of shopping. There are 4 train lines within a 10 minute walk of the apartment- the N, Q, M, and R. Each of these trains will get you to Manhattan in 10 minutes. This location is truly amazing.
Also, this apartment has a backyard! Which is a rarity for this price and location. The backyard is pretty large, and has a barbecue and lounge chairs, as well as a garden area. It's really so nice to have, especially this time of year.
As for the apartment itself, the bedroom for rent is large and easily fits a queen sized bedroom set with room to spare (the photo with this posting features a queen sized bedroom set so you have idea of the amount of space). The apartment is railroad style, meaning that all of the rooms connect. The bedroom for rent also has its own separate entrance from the building's hallway. I am the tenant who is moving out (because I'm moving in with my boyfriend) and I assure you that I have never had an issue with the layout of the apartment. The apartment also features an extra room, which can function as an office space or as an extra storage space for your things. This apartment is very large!
The tenant who is staying in the apartment is a young teacher in her late 20s who is extremely easy going and kind. She is typically out of the apartment early in the morning, as she works at a school in the city, so it should not be a problem as for sharing the space in the morning. She is really a great (ideal) roommate. She also has a very friendly and easy going cat (that she takes care of). I promise that you would never guess that a cat lives in the apartment were you to walk in unknowingly (there is no smell, the apartment is very clean).
I am very sad to leave this apartment, especially as the weather gets nicer with the backyard being available. You will really love this space and this neighborhood.
