Hi 👋🏼 my name is a Claudia. I am an illustrator, muralist and street artists. I am a freelancer and currently have a residency with a gallery in Philadelphia, hence why I’m subleasing my space. The sublease is from June 1st- August 31st. If you need to move in earlier we can definitely discuss that.
The room is massive and will come furnished, I ask you bring your own pillows and blankets. I have a full size bed with a comfy mattress. A desk and chair, a bookshelf. A dresser in the walk in closet (which is my favorite part of the room). The walk-in closet has tons of space with shelves for extra storage! The room has two large windows that let in tons of natural light! The room also comes with an ac unit and a fan.
You’ll be sharing the apartment with my current roommate. Her name is Nissa. She works in office from Mon-Thurs and wfh on Fridays. She’s very sweet but mostly keeps to herself. She cooks often. She’s very communicative and neat! Please no pets, no cigarettes in the apartment. There is a fire escape if you’d like to smoke out there.
The apartment has a living room, with a couch, book shelf, tv (I don’t have cable but I have most streaming apps [which you will not be paying for]). I have all kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc available for you to use. Feel free to bring your own as well. I do have a toaster and microwave for you to use. The bathroom is shared and is very nice, the shower head is amazing lol! I am the second tenet to live in the space and it is newly renovated with stainless steel full size appliances, granite counter tops, tile wooden floor, and tile bathroom.
The area is great. I’ve lived in Williamsburg for 8 years now and I love it! We’re closets to the M/J, L & G trains. There are several options for grocery stores and laundry. There are tons of coffee shops and eateries. We’re a short walk into Bushwick where there are tons of clubs. And a short subway wide into the main Williamsburg area where there is tons of shopping and coffee shops. We’re also a 15 minute subway ride into the city.
The room for rent is $1250, security is $1250, a total of $2500 is due at signing. Utilities are not included, you’ll be paying for gas, electric and wifi. In the summer months it comes to around $50-100 extra. Again the room is furnished with a bed, desk/ chair, book shelf and dresser. Also looking for someone who is respectable, keeps volume to a minimum (like no super loud music), clean (helps keep the space clean and tidy and will also help with chores), and reaponsible!
