I'm looking for an awesome new person to take over the remainder of my lease (my room in a 2 bedroom apartment), running through the end of Jan 2025, with the option to renew. The only reason I'm leaving is that my partner and I are moving in with each other and both of our leases sadly didn't align and one of us had to break our lease, i. e. me!

This room is great so I'm hoping it'll go to someone who appreciates the space! The room is absolutely FILLED with natural sunlight. There's a small closet but enough space for a full-sized bed, bookshelf, desk & chair, and wardrobe comfortably in the room. There is also a private en-suite bathroom just for you! The other tenant in the apartment has their own bathroom :) There's an AC/Heat combo unit in each room of the apartment (including the bedroom). The kitchen in the apartment is small but very much workable, even for someone like me who is a foodie and cooks all the time. It has a stove, microwave and dishwasher. There's also a video security system/buzzer to the apartment.

The apartment itself is located on the 2nd floor of a walkup. The staircase is wide and quite easy so it doesn't feel too strenuous (and it's just one floor up). The building and the apartment are all run by key codes so there are no keys! The only key is for the mailbox. Speaking of, there's a mailbox and a separate package room so packages are sound. The building also has laundry in the basement (through a paid app, so it's unfortunately not free), a huge rooftop with some furniture to hang out on during the summer time, a big courtyard for your bikes/grilling, a small gym, a pool table/room and a small shared bike/storage room in the basement where you can hold your suitcases or other small items that you don't want taking up space in the apartment.

We've never had any issues with the neighbors and I've never really had any issues with the landlords, albeit I've never had too much communication with them outside of paying rent. Rent is paid through an online payment portal through ACH, debit or credit card. Please note that debit and credit cards do take a small fee of a few dollars extra for processing. I do have a small dog so I believe pets are allowed! Due to the space, I do (personally) believe smaller dogs or very sedentary big dogs are best if you have a pet.

Our apartment is generally kept pretty clean. We aren't absolute sticklers so it's fine if there's a dish in the sink for a bit but we do clean up after ourselves in the common areas (kitchen and living room). I will be taking a decent amount of my furniture with me so there will be space to work with in the living room as well (co-deciding with the other roommate).

The neighborhood is fantastic! At the corner of Fulton and Claver Place, you're within 2-4 blocks of multiple subway lines, multiple grocery stores, many great bars and restaurants, and lots of action. Although it's close to a main street, it's still tucked away enough that it's quiet at night and not too disturbing.

The best part is that this apartment is RENT STABILIZED. There are also additional costs of Con Edison bills and Verizon Fios bills, which average to around $150 total per tenant in the winter and around $90-$100 total per tenant in the summer.

Who you'll be living with?
A young mid-to-late 20's female professional who works M-F (Tuesday-Thursday in the office). She's super laid back, very friendly, clean and always happy to either hang out or give you space. She's quiet and very respectful of the apartment space, as hopefully you would be too :) She's an animal lover, fashion aficionado and always happy to chat about the latest and greatest of TV/media personalities.
