+6 month Sublet – Room with Ensuite Bathroom
Sublet Listing
Hello hello!
I’m subletting my bedroom (in a 2-bed, 2-bath apartment) with a private ensuite bathroom starting early/mid March for 6 months minimum – month-to-month thereafter. Priority will be given to folks who’d ideally like to take over my portion of the lease come November 1st, however I won’t be sure of that possibility till around June.
Your apartment:
The 2nd-floor, 2-bedroom apartment is a recently-converted condo unit with shared living and dining room areas, a large open kitchen with dishwasher, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout with a ton of sunlight + plants, a huge outdoor terrace, and in-unit washer and dryer! We also have access to the rooftop for sweeping views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The photos speak for themselves (forgive the grey skies, it’s currently winter), but the place really is quite amazing – an absolute steal for New York. We split electric, gas, and internet utilities evenly and it’s very reasonable most of the year. The landlord is also usually pretty quick for fixing any issues.
Your room:
The room has a spacious double-door closet, large private bathroom with walk-in shower, and private balcony. Both the apartment and private bedroom are fully-furnished – bedroom includes queen bed, nightstands, adjustable desk, and chair. Towels and bedding are available if desired.
Your housemate:
EJ is a wonderful guy, and largely responsible for the lovely time I’ve had in New York thus far. A chill, 32-yr old California native with 7+ years in the Big Apple, he certainly knows how to make the most of NYC living. Apart from working as an interior designer 9-5 in the city, he loves to cook, try new restaurants (his Google Maps list is 600 places going on strong), see live music, visit art exhibitions, and homebody it up on the couch.
Your lifestyle:
Our apartment is a clean and cozy refuge from the city, and hope you treat it with as much love and respect as we do. We’re not clean freaks, we’re reasonable and mature, drama-free folks who like keeping things tidy – immediately taking care of spills, putting dishes in the dishwasher, no smoking indoors, etc. While we enjoy having friends over occasionally, this isn’t a party house.
Your neighborhood:
We’re right between Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy so there’s a great mix of shops, restaurants, and bars (Clementine’s, Do or Dive, and Doris are some of the favorites) – and Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, and Crown Heights are all within walking distance. The C and G trains are a 8 min and 6 min walk away, direct lines to Williamsburg and Manhattan.
Hope that covers everything, however feel free to ask any questions! When reaching out, please include a bit about yourself (i. e., what you like to do for fun/hobbies, etc), work situation (remotely vs. in person, work schedule, etc), and anything else you’d like to share. While the apartment is rather spacious, we unfortunately cannot add 2x people to the sublease so no couples please. 1st month rent + security deposit required, and will likely need credit score as the sublease will be through the landlord. We know it’s a tight market out there, so good luck!
Cheers!
Alex
