My current roommate got a job in California and is moving out in mid-October, so I need someone to take over his portion of the lease, at least through May 31, possibly longer. The lease can start anytime from October-15 to November 1.

About the apartment: A large 2-bedroom with one large common room that includes dining area and living room. The bedroom itself is fairly large, enough to fit a dresser, desk, tv, and queen bed. It has a window air-conditioning unit. There is a large closet in the room. The bedroom is currently furnished and the present occupant is willing to sell his furniture to the next resident.

The common areas are fully furnished, and have lots of storage space. The TV has cable with a decent selection. Dishwasher in the kitchen. There are 1. 5 bathrooms - the half-bath is in my bedroom, and the other bathroom is right the other bedroom. Outside of showering, I don't use that bathroom. The building is a non-doorman, elevator building (although the apartment is on the first floor) with washer/dryer in the basement.

Fairway, C-town, and other grocery stores are nearby. The 86th street 4/5/6 stop is a few blocks away and the M15 sbs stops around the corner. A NYSC is around the corner as well.

About me: I am a laid-back 29-y/o professional male.

Rent is $1750 a month. In addition, there are $800 of fees that will have to be paid to the management company to switch the lease, plus a one-month security deposit.
