Furnished room in a great apartment.

Great apartment only two to three blocks to the 1, B, and C trains and Central Park, Riverside Park and all area amenities. Less than 10 minute walk to the 2/3 trains.

SHort term only (I'm moving to a new apartment mid-month and my lease ends March 31). Available starting March 8 until end of March (flexible between then. Ideal for someone in NYC short term or looking for a home base while they search for a permanent place.

About the apartment: Large apartment in a pre-war building with high ceilings, large living room, spacious eat-in kitchen, shared bathroom (large with tub/shower) and wood floors throughout. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, walkup, no elevator on a tree-lined street. This residential neighborhood is quiet, near Central park which is amazing, and has a lot of restaurants, stores, and cafes.

About the room: It is furnished with a full-size bed, two dressers, and an ample closet. I can have sheets and towels for you or not. There is also a chair in there that I can move if not needed. A large window gives this room amazing natural light. You could move one of the dressers into the closet if you want a small desk.

About me: I love to travel, cook, and socialize. I work in marketing, partially at client offices and partially from home. I have a decent balance of going out after work and staying in, though sometimes I get overcommitted. I do like my down-time to re-charge by cooking or watching netflix or hulu. I teach a movement class and irregularly practicing yoga and meditation. I try to keep active (when I dont fall off the exercise wagon). :) My younger sister and a friend live in the building so I pop up to one of their places or occasionally invite them over for dinner.

Ideal roommate: A considerate person with a sense of humor. Responsible, friendly, relatively-quiet-at-home professional or grad student. Be willing to maintain a clean apartment day-to-day. Also ok with me packing up the rest of the apartment (prepping to move at the end of the month).
