Starting now, we have a fully furnished room for rent in our two bedroom, one bathroom apartment in a great location! The bedroom is the larger of the two and comes fully furnished with a queen bed (brand new mattress), dresser, bookcase, and two nightstands. It also has a large closet with plenty of storage. The whole apartment faces south, so it gets amazing light throughout the day! We even include linens and towels; all you need to do is bring your suitcase and personal touches! :)

The apartment is on an upper floor of a new construction building with many amenities including an elevator, doorman, laundry, gym, and rooftop terrace. It's 4 short blocks to the 2/3 or a quick walk across the bridge to the 4/5/6, and it only takes 15 minutes to reach Times Square 42nd street from door to door. There's also a grocery store right around the corner, and the Bronx Terminal is 2 stops away by bus for Target, BJ's, and other stores. We also have a bodega right across the street for those late night Hagen Daaz or Ben and Jerry's cravings and a great dry cleaners. Did we mention the Post Office on the block? This is really a great location!

A little bit about us: we're married, female professionals in our early-mid 30s. We're quirky, clean, adventurous and respectful of others. We enjoy cooking, watching movies, trying new things, traveling and playing with our two small dogs (they are completely hypoallergenic, trained and know to stay out of your room unless you want them in there). We also like to have "family night" where we all cook together or order out and watch a movie, play a game, go somewhere new, etc. But, if you're just looking for some quiet at the end of the day, this can be your place too.

The rent is $1400 a month for one person and $1550 a month for couples. The rent includes heat and hot water, cable and wifi. We will split electric.

First month's rent plus deposit (1 month's rent) is required for move-in. Ideally, we're looking for someone long-term (6 months +), but we may be open to a shorter term depending on circumstances.
